The Week of 10/7 - 10/11 Hello MTV Families, I hope you had a great weekend (better than the Seahawks). I have a couple quick reminders to share with you, including information from our PTSO. • Conference Week is coming up the week of October 21st. More detailed information will be coming, but teachers will be reaching out soon to start scheduling conferences with you. • The walk-a-thon was today! Please don’t forget to turn in your walk-a-thon envelopes by Friday, October 11th. Thanks for your support of Mt. View students! • Change in the morning: Students will not be able to go to their classroom until 8:55 each morning (previously 8:50). If you drop your student off in the morning and they are not eating breakfast at school, please drop off as close to 8:55 as is possible for you. If your student is eating breakfast with us, any time after 8:35 works. The two options in the morning for our students are eating breakfast or recess outside. We do not have a lot of before school supervision for recess so if your student doesn't eat breakfast with us and would only be at recess, closer to 8:55 would be helpful. We end up with a lot of students at recess before school and often the weather isn't great. • Let’s keep talking about attendance! As you know, attendance is one of the biggest indicators for student success and for the month of September, Mt. View had the highest attendance rate in the Shelton School District. Way to go Vikings! Let's keep it up in October! Mt. View PTSO News: Join us for our PTSO Meeting next Tuesday, October 15th at 4:00 PM in the Mt. View Library. Our first family night of the year is next week, Wednesday October 16th (Movie Night)! Please take a moment to give us your feedback on what movie we should feature. https://forms.office.com/r/rCzv5Qa8fd • Doors open at 5:30 PM • Movie starts at 6:00 PM • Concessions to be served by PTSO from 5:30 PM - 6:45 PM (Cash Only) • All students must be accompanied by an adult. • Popcorn Friday is happening next Friday, October 18th. $0.50 a bag, sold at lunch recess. • Our PTSO group cannot put together fun events without YOU! • PTSO is in need of a Secretary to round out our board and we are always looking for volunteers!
