Good afternoon Mountain View Families and Staff,
Thank goodness for another wonderful weekend. Last week was exhausting for students and staff. Playing hard in the warm weather and all that testing simply wore us all out. The weather looks like it will cool down this week and as of right now, no rain is in the forecast. This will be great as we have a couple more field trips this week.
Our kindergarten students had an exciting time on Friday at the field experience to Twanoh State Park. Our littlest Vikings were so well behaved, treated the land kindly and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Thank you to all the parents who chaperoned and helped! I bet you were all tired by 2:00!
This Tuesday, selected students from Mrs. LaRue, Mrs. Clow, Mr. Hornal and Mrs. Sadler’s classes will be attending Farm Days at the Kitsap Fairgrounds. On Thursday, our 3rd grade students will have their PEI field experience at Kennedy Creek from 9:30-12:30.
Friday, we will hold our last recognition assembly of the school year beginning at 2:40. Families of students who are being recognized by their teachers will be notified this week.
State testing continues this week for our 3rd and 4th grade students. This week, our students will shift from ELA to math. On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, they will be taking the Math CAT assessment.
Let’s have a wonderful week at Mountain View!
