Principal's Message

Good afternoon Mountain View Families and Staff,

This is Ms. Lee, filling in for Mrs. Johnson this week.  I hope you’ve had a great weekend!  A quick reminder that Wednesday is an early dismissal for staff professional learning time.  Students will be dismissed at 2:00.  We have some exciting things coming up on Wednesday:  We’ve had such great success with our “confetti” student recognition program that our “confetti” box is full.  We’re going to celebrate all of our students by having pajama day on Wednesday.  Also, on Wednesday, the huge “mystery box” will be opened.  Students have been guessing what’s inside for the last week.  We can’t wait to finally reveal the mystery.  Students are going to LOVE it!

Thank you to those families who are pulling their cars all the way up towards the end of the building to drop students off.  The people in the long line of cars behind you really appreciate you.

Tara Smith and Raechel Strumski’s classes will continue their swimming this week. Jan. 23, 24, 26 & 27 (no swimming Weds).  Please send your child to school in their swimsuits under their clothing; with a towel and change of undergarments!

Here are some upcoming events happening at Mountain View:

  • Smith and Strumski classes will swim Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday this week.
  • Wednesday, January 25th is a PLC day.  Students will be dismissed at 2:00.
  • Pajama Day! this Wednesday.  Students may wear school appropriate pajamas all day in celebration of so many of our students following the Mt.View Viking expectations to Be Kind, Be Safe, and Work Hard.
  • PTSO meeting Tuesday, January 24th at 6:00 on Zoom
  • January 27th Work Hard Recognition Assembly at 9:15. Parents of students being honored will be invited to attend.
