The Week of 10/28 - 11/1

Hello MTV Families,

As is tradition at Mt. View, students and staff can wear costumes on Halloween, (Thursday) October 31st. There will be a serpentine parade in the afternoon for students that dress up and would like to participate. Dressing up and participating in the serpentine is voluntary, and we will have a space and activities for all students that do not want to dress up and/or participate. Students can wear costumes to school on Thursday or they can bring them and change later in the day. We do ask that costumes are school appropriate, meaning no references to drugs or alcohol, no blood or guts and no weapons etc. If a costume is deemed to be inappropriate, students will be asked to remove them. We prefer costumes without masks, but if a mask is involved, it can be worn during the serpentine parade, but not other times during the school day. If a student is wearing a mask for health and safety reasons, that can stay on all day.
